Where can I learn more about the puppy parents?
Under “Our Dogs” you’ll find a description of each of our males and females in the breeding program. If you click on the bio at the bottom we have photos and clearances listed as well.
When will I get an update after I’m approved?
We send out updates once the breeding has taken place. We do request in this email that you confirm you are still wanting a puppy from this breeding pair.
The next update given are when the puppies are born. There is not a lot of new information while the mama is growing the puppies.
How does the puppy pick process work? We like to help navigate the process as we know our puppies best. Since we spend the most time with each puppy around the clock we know them best so therefore we match each puppy with each family. Families should keep in mind that each puppy will be a wonderful family dog. We do take into consideration your favorite puppy during the Selections process. Puppies normally have a Ribbon on and go by their Ribbon Color.
Where are you located?
We are located outside of Greenville, Ohio about 45 minutes northwest of Dayton.
Will I be able to watch my puppy grow?
Yes, we upload photos and videos on a regular basis on Instagram and Facebook. Puppies are generally assigned a ribbon color in the first few weeks so we can monitor their progress and families can watch them grow. We have one Facebook account “Sunny Creek Labs”

When will my puppy be able to come home?
All puppies will go home at 8 weeks of age.
How do I get my puppy?
Puppy pick-ups are scheduled at 8 weeks of age and picked up in person in my home. Everyone always enjoys meeting the Crew!
What if I can't come on pickup day to get my puppy? Can you board my puppy for a few days?
We want all puppies to go home on time. Your puppy will need to continue to work on potty training and bonding with you.
Do you ship puppies?
No, we do NOT ship puppies!
What type of food do you feed your dogs?
We feed our puppies Dr. Gary’s Best breed Puppy. We will let you know what your Puppy is eating prior to going home.
Can I bring my current dogs to puppy pick up?
For the safety of our dogs and the puppies still here, no, we ask you do not bring any other pets with you when picking up your puppy.
Do you have every color?
Yes, we breed the correct colors of Yellow, Black and Chocolate puppies. These are the only colors recognized by the AKC.
Are the puppies AKC registered?
Yes, all puppies come with a “limited” AKC registration. We sell our puppies on a Limited Registration, which means you can achieve all AKC titles except show in the conformation ring or use for breeding.
What goes home with puppies on gotcha day?
All puppies go home with a collar, binder of parents pedigree, health clearances, microchip registration, information on exercise, dangerous foods, plants, and household items, puppy potty training info, a blanket that smells like mom, and a baggy of food. We feel this prepares the puppy for a smoother transition into their new forever home.
Do you sell full registration?
No, we sell all puppies at limited registration only.
How big will my lab puppy grow to?
Labradors on average are between 65-80 pounds. Females are usually smaller than males.
What kind of toys do you recommend?
I personally use Nylabones, Benebones, West Paw Design & Kong toys. We have the best luck with larger rubber durable toys, non-edible nylabones, and benebones (our dog’s favorite, they told us) and chuck-it balls.
We do NOT give or recommend your dog/puppy rope toys and rawhide or cooked bones.
